Part 1: Privacy Policy
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Marina Amurjuev Piano Studio ("the Studio," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information submitted through marinapiano.com ("the Site"). The Studio is a sole proprietorship operated by Marina Amurjuev, located at 22 Lindvest Crescent, Vaughan, Ontario. This policy is written to align with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which applies to personal information collected in the course of commercial activity in Canada.
2. Information we collect
When you submit the "Send Inquiry" form on the Site, we collect: full name, email address, phone number, preferred lesson format (in-person, online, or either), and any message or details you choose to include. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on the Site.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to lesson inquiries, to schedule, confirm, and manage piano lessons, and to communicate with current and prospective students and their parents/guardians. We do not use your information for any purpose beyond operating the Studio, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your inquiry data is stored using the Site's hosting and backend infrastructure (Supabase) solely to operate the contact form. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Retention
We retain inquiry and student contact information for as long as needed to maintain the teaching relationship or respond to your inquiry, and for up to 3 years afterward for record-keeping. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.
7. Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw consent to future collection/use/communication, and request deletion, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. To exercise these rights, contact Marina Amurjuev at amarina@rogers.com or 416-902-9426. If unsatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
8. Children's information
Many students are minors. Inquiries and registration for minor students are expected to be submitted by a parent or guardian, who consents to this policy on the student's behalf.
9. Testimonials
Student and parent testimonials shown on the Site are published with the permission of the individuals quoted.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.

Part 2: Terms of Service & Booking Policy
1. Acceptance
By submitting an inquiry or booking a lesson through the Site, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
The Studio provides private piano and music theory instruction for all ages and levels, in person or online, taught by Marina Amurjuev (RCM-certified teacher). Current rates: 45-minute lesson — $60/lesson; Package of 10 lessons — $500.
3. Booking
Lessons are arranged by contacting the Studio via the Site's inquiry form, phone, or email. The Studio aims to respond within one business day.
4. Payment
Payment is by e-transfer, due at or before each lesson (or as arranged for the 10-lesson package).
5. Cancellations, rescheduling & missed lessons
Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours' notice. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are billed in full.
6. Conduct & liability
Lessons are provided in good faith based on the teacher's professional experience. While the Studio has a strong track record of RCM examination results, no specific outcome, grade, or exam result is guaranteed.
7. Use of testimonials and images
Testimonials published on the Site are used with permission.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
